This also means your garden and yard, because we spend a lot of our time outdoors when the weather is nice. We like to entertain indoors and outdoors so just the right decor and accents bring out the complete feeling of home.

Bring Nature Indoors With Water Fountains

Water Fountains in the home are getting more and more popular. People have discovered from years ago that the sound of flowing water was relaxing, whether inside or outside the house. Hearing water flow or trickling releases stress and gives everyone peace and tranquility in their lives. And in today's world everyone can benefit from indoor water fountains.
Indoor fountains bring great relief at the end of a hectic day and taking a moment of peace and quiet to listen the trickle of the water does wonders for the body and soul. It is like a massage, and believe me, it works.
People like indoor fountains because of the sound of the water flowing in the background. People who have them say they provide good background for close conversations, parties, and even while eating a meal. The soothing noise is also helpful when trying to fall asleep. Another great feature about having an indoor water fountain in your home or office is that it humidifies the air. Negative ions attract airborne impurities like dust. The running water attracts negative ions, making it easier to breathe. The air in your home will be healthier and this benefits you and your family.

Chess – The Game of the Kings

Chess is the oldest skill game in the world, and spans some 1500 years. It originated in India in the 6^th century AD and spread to Persia. When the Arabs conquered Persia, chess was taken up by the Muslim world and from there it reached Europe. In Europe, during the 15^th century is when chess evolved into its current form.

In 1834 competitive chess became visible. During the 19^th century, modern tournament play began, and the first world chess championship was held in 1886. During the 20^th century the chess theory and the World Chess Federation (FIDE) was established. The first chess tournament was held in London and surprisingly won by German Adolf Anderssen. Since the end of the 19^th century, the number of annually held master tournaments and matches quickly grew.

If you look at a chess board it can tell you how the people lived in medieval times. Look at the way it is set up, then study the pieces and how they are used, and you will soon realize that chess is a history of medieval times just miniature.
The Europeans gave chess pieces the names we know today, because this reflected the way they lived. A thousand years ago they represented the very way in which both ordinary people and persons of rank lived their lives.
